Anyone with a spine is welcome to begin care here at Bloom! One of our goals for everyone is to have the opportunity to receive chiropractic care that is fit to your needs as a healing individual. You do not have to be in pain to begin chiropractic care; however, if you are experiencing headaches, neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, knee pain, foot pain, hip pain, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, wrist pain, etc, we are here for you! Chiropractic care focuses on removing nervous system interference. Specific chiropractic adjustments allow your body to adapt and function better to any surrounding stressors you may have. Our ultimate goal for all our Practice Members is to improve nervous system function. When our nervous systems function better, you may noticed your pain and posture will show improvement.
Along with traditional manual chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Sydney is Advanced Proficiency Rated through Activator Methods. Using the Activator analysis, Dr. Sydney will know when to adjust a joint and when not to adjust a joint through its specific analysis. This technique utilizes a handheld instrument, the Activator, to facilitate the adjustment without the popping or cracking sounds that may be heard using other techniques. This is a great method for pediatrics, geriatrics, or anyone who is interested in low force adjustments. This is a great technique for anyone who is new to chiropractic, a little apprehensive about traditional manual adjustments, or wants to try another effective type of adjustment!
Dr. Sydney likes to tell her Practice Members that if you have a nervous system, chiropractic is for you! Children of all ages (including newborns!) can benefit greatly under chiropractic care. Children’s adjustments are not the same as adult adjustments. The force used on a newborn, or young child, is as light as putting pressure on your eyelid, or checking the ripeness of an avocado. Children's nervous systems are quickly growing and adapting and require less force. Dr. Sydney offers Initial Consultation to begin over the phone, allowing for a shorter in-person time. If you would like to learn more about how chiropractic positively benefits children of all ages check out the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Dr. Sydney loves working with mamas-to-be! She wants to be a part of your pregnancy journey, providing help and support through chiropractic care. She is certified in the Webster technique, which is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment for the pelvis and sourrouding muscles and ligaments. This is great to utilize during pregnancy to ensure your body and nervous system are functioning at their best for you and your baby. Dr. Sydney aims to ensure proper movement of the pelvis and spine, allowing you to have the best environment possible for your baby's growth. We want every mom-to-be to have a comfortable pregnancy free of pain and discomfort, such as sciatica, rib pain, and pubic bone pain and discomfort.
Postpartum begins right after giving birth, the fourth trimester. By this time, there has been a lot of change to mama’s body. The fourth trimester is a time for your body to heal, get to know your baby, as well as learn your new schedules. This time requires exploring and harmonizing all of the new challenging and rewarding changes. During this time helping your body heal from birth should be one of the top on the list. Chiropractic care during the postpartum phase keeps your spine and pelvis aligned, as well as keeping your nervous system functioning optimally. Allowing your nervous system to be free of interference allows you body to adapt more efficiently and effectively to your ever changing environment during your healing process.
